Fray Nelson Medina. OP
Fray Nelson is known for his extensive evangelization ministry through various platforms. He has collaborated with Catholic radio and television stations, as well as social media, reaching millions worldwide with the message of faith and hope.
Fr. Nelson Medina studied at Santo Tomás College led by the Dominicans and then at the National University of Colombia, where he specialized in Mathematics and Pure Physics. From a young age, he became involved in prayer and the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, which led him to dedicate himself to preaching the Word of God.
This calling led him to the Order of Preachers, where he completed his novitiate in 1985 and was ordained a priest in 1992. Subsequently, he obtained a Master’s degree in Theology and a doctorate in Fundamental Theology, and he distinguished himself as a teacher and leader in various religious and academic institutions in Colombia.
In addition to his academic contributions, Fray Nelson is known for his extensive ministry of evangelization through various platforms. He has collaborated with Catholic radio and television stations, social networks, reaching millions of people worldwide with the message of faith and hope. In recognition of his evangelizing work, he was named Evangelizer of the Year in 2023 by the “Catholic Digital Evangelization” channel.
